Jakarta - The Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) said as many as 73 employees who were exposed to COVID-19 have been declared completely cured.

Head of the Legal and Communication Bureau of BPKP Eri Satriana explained that the employee who was exposed was a person without symptoms (OTG), and was declared cured after undergoing isolation at the Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital.

Eri explained that BPKP took the initiative to independently cooperate with the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), the DKI Jakarta Health Service, and Pertamina Jaya Hospital to have carried out swab tests on all employees since July-early August 2020.

This, he said, was in order to protect the health safety of auditors on duty in the field who have a vulnerability to contracting COVID-19 .

"Alhamdulillah, we have carried out a swab test on 1,767 employees, the majority of whom are auditors, in order to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19, especially within the BPKP," he said.

The large number of positive cases of COVID-19, said Eri, was because the tracking was carried out massively through swab tests. According to him, this step was followed by the temporary closure of the BPKP office for 14 working days in mid-August 2020, and the implementation of a work from home system.

In addition, said Eri, in the internal scope, BPKP has tightened health protocols, provided means of washing hands, wearing masks, measuring body temperature, ozone booths, hand sanitizers, including limiting guest reception and providing special guest rooms with strict health protocols.

Meanwhile, the Head of BPKP Muhammad Yusuf Ateh has instructed all employees to be disciplined in complying with health protocols, limiting a maximum of 25 percent of employees working in offices, increasing periodic inspections, and applying strict sanctions.
