, Jakarta - The Attorney General's Office has filed a ban on Rahmat from the Immigration authorities since August 10, 2020. Rahmat is an important witness in the alleged bribery case for the administration of the free fatwa of the Supreme Court (MA) Djoko Tjandra which involved Prosecutor Pinangki .

"It has been banned for a long time, since August 10," said Director of Investigation at the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes at the Attorney General's Office, Febrie Adriansyah, at his office, South Jakarta, on Wednesday, September 16, 2020. Rahmat, said Febrie, was banned for six months or until December. 2020.

In this case, Rahmat is mentioned as the person who introduced Attorney Pinangki Sirna Malasari to Djoko Tjandra. He also went with Attorney Pinangki and Anita Kolopaking to meet Djoko Tjandra in Malaysia.

Based on the results of an interim investigation, said Febrie, Rahmat is suspected of being a relative of Djoko Tjandra . "It seems that Rahmat is indeed a Djoko Tjandra person. We will continue to examine the person concerned, as a witness," he said.

Rahmat's role began to be discussed after the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI) submitted his name to the Police. Since then, both the police and the Attorney General's Office have often summoned Rahmat to be questioned.
