The Makassar Police Raimas Team arrested five high school students in Makassar City, South Sulawesi ( Sulsel ), because they were caught carrying Gorilla tobacco- type drugs. When they were examined, they brought 74 packages of Gorilla tobacco ready for distribution.

"We also found five suspected perpetrators of abuse of the Gorilla tobacco type of narcotics. When we searched, we secured 71 small packages, 2 medium packages, and 1 large package," said Danru Raimas Makassar Police, Brigadier Emir Sholihan, Monday (14 / 9/2020).

The five teenagers were arrested after members conducted a patrol along Jalan Metro Tanjung Bunga, Makassar, Monday (14/9) at dawn. While on the road, the police who saw the five people were suspicious of the perpetrators' activities and immediately carried out an examination until they found 74 packages of Gorilla tobacco stored in a bag.

In addition to arresting five teenagers and securing dozens of packages of Gorilla tobacco, the police also confiscated millions of rupiah, allegedly from the sale of this illicit business. Meanwhile, they also admitted that the item was purchased from a social media account to be re-circulated at a higher price.

"As for what we secure from the sale of Rp. 1,296,000. Their status is currently students, goods (Gorilla tobacco drugs) were obtained from social media," explained Emir.

Based on the perpetrator's admission, they marketed their sales to teenagers and their schoolmates. He has also been running this illicit business since about a month ago.

"They sell it among teenagers and schoolchildren. They have been doing this since one month ago," explained Emir.

For further legal proceedings, the five students were immediately taken to the Makassar Police Headquarters. Evidence in the form of dozens of packages of Gorilla tobacco was also submitted for intensive investigation.
