House of Representatives Commission VIII Monitor Distribution of Social Security in the City of Bogor
, Jakarta - The House of Representatives Commission VIII, a visit to the city of Bogor to monitor the implementation of social assistance or Bansos Covid-19, which is now entering the second stage.
The House of Representatives Commission VIII's specific visit was led by Deputy Chairperson of Commission VIII, Moekhlas Sidik, to Bogor City Hall, Tuesday, July 1, 2020.
The delegation from the House of Representatives Commission VIII was welcomed by Bogor Mayor Bima Arya Sugiarto who was accompanied by, among others, Deputy Mayor Dedie A Rachim, Regional Assistant for Development and People's Welfare (Aspemkesra) Irwan Riyanto, and Head of Social Services Anggraeny Iswara.
In a dialogue between the House Commission VIII with the Mayor of Bogor and his staff, Deputy Chairperson of the House of Representatives Commission VIII, Ihsan Yunus, said that the Commission VIII's specific visit today was part of the DPR RI's supervisory task to oversee the implementation and implementation of the laws and regulations, especially social assistance in the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to Ihsan, the specific visit of Commission VIII in the city of Bogor to see and monitor the implementation and distribution of social assistance in the Covid-19 pandemic.
"We are grateful to the mayor of Bogor for wanting to open up the issue of distribution of Social Security and its constraints. We will bring this dialogue as input to be discussed with the relevant ministries and institutions. We will continue to improve, collect data and channel it," he said.
On this occasion, Ihsan Yunus, confirmed that in the regions there was sometimes a lack of focus on the handling and distribution of social assistance. "The Mayor of Bogor said that the City of Bogor had focused on handling Covid-19 social assistance to improve data through applications," he said.
Ihsan also said that the handling of Covid-19 social assistance in Bogor was good enough by making innovations to facilitate its citizens. "The Bogor City Government also established a network for the recipient's receivers to be right on target," he said.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chairperson of the House of Representatives Commission VIII, Moekhlas Sidik, as the group leader, said that the House of Representatives and the Ministry of Social Affairs had agreed on a budget for the Social Aid program for Covid-19 disaster relief.
According to him, the budget allocation in 2020 is planned to increase the target of PKH recipients from 10 million KPM to 15 million KPM, with an additional budget requirement of Rp. 17.8 trillion.
Then, for Bansos there is also a target of adding recipients, from 15.6 million families to 20 million families, with an additional budget requirement of Rp 7.9 trillion.
For Social Aid in 2021, he said, the House of Representatives Commission VIII agreed that an additional Ministry of Social budget would be Rp 91.9 trillion. "The purpose of giving Social Aid is that all citizens, whether individuals, families, groups, and / or communities who are experiencing economic impacts from Covid-19, can live naturally," he said.
