, Jakarta - Jakarta State University socio-political observer Ubedilah Badrun said that President Joko Widodo or Jokowi's anger at a cabinet meeting showed the failure of the head of government to control his ministers.

"So Jokowi's speech was actually an emotional expression of his failure as well as chaos in controlling the ministers," Ubedilah said in his written statement, Tuesday, June 30, 2020.

The angry president's speech, according to Ubedilah Badrun, showed that there was chaos in the management of the cabinet. "It shows how chaotic the President's management is in pushing his ministers to go the extra mile in the midst of a crisis," he said.

The video of Jokowi's anger towards his ranks of ministers was uploaded on June 28 on the official Youtube of the Presidential Secretariat. The video was only uploaded 10 days after Jokowi's speech was made at the Plenary Cabinet Meeting on June 18, 2020.

In the 10-minute video, Jokowi admonished his ranks of ministers who he said were not yet one feeling, towards the existence of a sense of crisis in Indonesia due to Covid-19. Jokowi said no significant progress had been made by his ministers in tackling this pandemic. In fact, Jokowi threatened to dissolve the institution or reshuffle his cabinet if needed.

Ubedilah said that Jokowi's attitude also showed ineffective coordination between the President and the coordinating minister as well as the Coordinating Minister and the ministers.

From the beginning, said Ubedilah, the ministers were overly instilled with Jokowi's style of optimism and confidence, ignorant of criticism, and did not have a strong sense of crisis . "Including being arrogant and underestimating the Covid-19 pandemic by responding to it with unnecessary jokes," he said.

According to Ubedilah, Jokowi was also initially regarded as indifferent and underestimated the Covid-19 pandemic, and was too optimistic about economic growth figures. When the economic growth rate was contracted to minus, Jokowi was shocked, shocked, and angry.
