, Jakarta - Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi revealed three challenges his ministry faces in building a modern transportation system. He said that the challenges include affordability of public access to supporting regulations.

"The challenges that have not yet been resolved are first, fulfillment of access. Increasingly, people's need for transportation continues to grow, ”said Budi Karya in the webinar on National Transportation Day, Thursday, September 17, 2020.

According to Budi Karya, along with the increasing need for transportation, the characteristics of the community towards public transportation are also different. That way, the government is required to provide good services, especially during a pandemic.

Fulfilling the need for transportation services is one of the basic rights for every citizen that must be fulfilled by regulators. Furthermore, the second challenge is the achievement of transportation performance that must be published.

"The achievement of transportation performance must be published to the public so that it can have a positive impact on national economic growth," he said.
