Operation Yustisi, Citizens from Outside the City are Urged Not to Come to Bandung
Jakarta Kapolrestabes Bandung, West Java, Kombes Pol Ulung Sampurna Jaya appealed to out-of-town residents not to come to the city of Bandung when Operation Yustisi was implemented. This is to reduce the number of COVID-19 cases in the city.
"People outside Bandung should not go to Bandung first, because Bandung is still working to reduce the number of COVID-19," said Ulung during the Yustisi Operation Raids on Jalan Ahmad Yani, Bandung City, Friday (18/9/2020).
Ulung said that the Yustisi Operation will be held in the next 14 days or until October 2020.
In Operation Yustisi, the authorities took action against people who did not wear masks or dispersed the crowd. For now, his party is still giving a warning in the form of data collection and socialization for residents who violate the COVID-19 health protocol.
However, next week, he said, his party would start taking action against violators with a number of sanctions.
"The sanctions can be in the form of physical sanctions, social sanctions, and even fines. For example, he is ordered to sweep the highway," said Ulung, as quoted by Antara .
Therefore, he reminded the public to remain disciplined in applying the 3M 1T principles, namely using masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, and not crowding.
"The public must understand, we just let people shop, as long as they keep their distance," he said.
So far, the number of COVID-19 cases in Bandung has reached 1,044 based on data from the COVID-19 Information Center, with details of 165 active cases, 826 recoveries, and 53 death cases.
